Perkins School for the Blind Testimonial

Dear Bob,

On behalf of everyone at the Perkins School for the Blind, thank you! Your parcipitation in the Thomas and Bessie Horticulture Center/Greenhouse Gala helped make the event the season’s best! Your calligraphy of the place cards made the evening ever so elegant.

The Thomas and Bessie Pappas Horticulture Center is a reality of a dream of all Perkins’ students: a dream of learning and growing, developing independence, and nurturing self-esteem through gardening; of mastering chalenges and gaining new skills; of delighting in the feel of water, the smell of the earth and the taste of the vegetables that the students grew themselves.

Again, thank you for your generosity and support. Your compassion and kindness will help more students reap the all the benefits and pleasures of gardening and, as Helen Keller once said, “know what joy is to feel the roses pressing softly into the hand.”

Sincerely,
Sandy Shapiro
Event Manager
